User Group: The La Crosse System
Program Date: Friday, April 21, 2006
Program Hours: 10:30 a.m.—12:30 p.m.
Location: 200 Main Street, Suite 105
This session will cover basic concepts of report writing with Application Manager, a powerful and easy to use tool created by Compusource Corporation that is embedded within The La Crosse System. It enables users to generate custom reports, inquiries, and labels. It can be interfaced easily to commonly used word processing and spreadsheet programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. There is also the ability to create custom report menus to suit each user's specific tasks. Security features include defining menu access by login or password and restricting access by menu, report, file, and fields within a file.
Topics include:
- Menu structure and management allows any user to create menus for employees and provide security for those users
- Pre-existing indices or user defined indices can be used to report and extract data
- Any report can be printed to an ASCII file in any delimited or non-delimited format.
- Information can be printed to an ASCII file and imported or merged into Microsoft development tools
- General file maintenance allows you to determine security clearance to see all the records of a file, which is a great tool for auditing
