This seminar covers concepts of the duties and responsibilities of a controller, which includes functions of cost management, AP, AR, payroll, cash flow, and the overall financial management of a company. You will also learn about the uses of AP Cash Entry and AR Cash Entry, as well as Cash Book Reconciliation, and working with journal entries and worksheets. Topics also include the overall workflow of Nextgen, GL accounts, financial divisions, and using financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and daily financial briefs.

  • Learn more about posting inventory transactions live to the General Ledger, including purchase order receipts and on hand adjustments
  • How to view and manage General Ledger transactions on screen, and filter by multiple criteria such as date and/or type of transaction
  • Group cash and payment list transactions into batches for ease of viewing, post transactions as reversed, and mark transactions with an audit stamp of user, date, and time of creation Setup and operation of key financial tables
  • Learn how to set up your system to accommodate for different business/financial divisions and produce statements at varying levels. Separate balance sheets can be produced for each financial division, and separate income statements can be produced for each profit center or combination of profit centers (units)
