Program Description
The Calls Holding For Parts report is found on the Service Reports Technician Reports menu (SD-4-3-3). This program allows the user to view service calls that have been placed on hold status because of parts needed for a particular machine.
Rev 14 Changes
A new prompt was added to the report when it is run sorted by Branch Number. The prompt is “Use Branch From 1) Sales Rep/Tech File Or 2) Serial File”. Prior to Revision 14, this report used the branch from the Serial File. The Sales Rep/Tech File is SLMD. The Serial File is the same as Machine Placement and the actual file name is SERIALD. This prompt was added because service is occasionally performed on machines not placed or on custody, and the branch field in the Serial file may not be set correctly. By using the Sales Rep/Tech file to get the branch, the report will use the service technician that actually took the service call. The report will also print in the heading of the report how the prompt was answered.
