Program Description
This program can be found on the System Manager Security menu (SE-3-7). It allows you to change a user name in the system but keep all of the menu and program flags the same. It also allows you to copy an existing user id to a new user id, with all existing menu flags transferred to the new user id. You can also delete a user id entirely from the system.

Occasionally when an operator used this program to change a User ID, or copy a User ID to another one, a message would appear stating “Could Not Add SEDET1.IX”. This would happen if the new User ID was used previously, but Detail for that User ID was not completely deleted from the system. The Security Master record was deleted through Security Master File Maintenance, but the detail was never deleted. This program will now proactively look for Detail Records for the new User ID and delete them before it changes the old User ID or copy the old User ID to the new User.
