Program Description
This program can be found on the Service File Maintenance menu (SD-3-6). It allows you to change information on a completed service call or remove the call completely. Service calls cannot be created through this program.
Rev 15 Changes
If the OEM Interface module is activated and the service call being changed is an OEM service call, the program will display “Enter ‘OEM’ To Display OEM Info.” at the bottom of the screen. This will be displayed on service calls the Dealer created for OEM Machines and service calls created by the OEM. Once OEM is entered, several screens will be displayed showing either the information that was sent to the OEM (on calls create or updated by the dealer), or information from the OEM (on calls created by the OEM). This information will be sent when the service call is reassigned, dispatched, cancelled, or put on hold through the Service Dispatch screen. The machine is considered to be an OEM machine if the OEM Machine field in the Serial File (SERIALD) is not set to N for no and the Ship-To Customer has the OEM Account field in the Customer File (CUSTD) set to Y for yes.
The information that is displayed on the OEM Inquiry will vary. We have added all possible fields to the screen, in case other OEM’s down the line would like to fill in some more information. Don’t be concerned if fields are not filled in with information. See screen samples below.

Rev 14 Changes
Internal changes were made to prevent a File Not Opened stop at line 8620 when an operator tried to delete a service call and Wireless Technology was activated.
When an operator changes the completion date on the call, the program will now change the completion date in the two Technician Labor Records (TECH.DT) for MECH and TRAV codes to the new date that the operator entered. If there is non-product time (which is also stored in the Technician Labor File) that is associated with the call number, the program will ask “Do You Wish To Change The Date On Non-Product Time Linked To This Service Call (Y/N)”. The operator should enter a Y to have the date in these records changed. An N for no should be entered if the operator does not want the date changed in the non-product records. Non-Product time is used for things like lunch and meetings and training that may occur within a service calls. Whether or not to change the date on the non-product time is up to each dealership and how they use non-product time. If there isn’t any non-product time linked to the service call, this prompt will not be displayed.

When an operator changes a service call and changes either the Completion Date, Meter Reading or PM Done Y/N, the program will now update the Serial File (SERIALD) for the machine. The program will recalculate the Last Service Meter Reading/Date, Last PM Meter Reading/Date, Average Monthly Volume (AMV), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and Mean Copies Between Failures (MCBF).
When an operator delete a service call, the program will now delete the two Technician Labor Records (TECH.DT) for MECH and TRAV codes. If there is non-product time (which is also stored in the Technician Labor File) that is associated with the call number and has the same date as the completion date, the program will ask “Do You Wish To Delete Non-Product Time Linked To This Service Call (Y/N)”. The operator should enter a Y to have these records deleted. An N for no should be entered if the operator does not want the non-product records deleted. Non-Product time is used for things like lunch and meetings and training that may occur within a service calls. Whether or not to delete the non-product time is up to each dealership and how they use non-product time. If there isn’t any non-product time linked to the service call, this prompt will not be displayed.

When an operator deletes a service call, the Serial File (SERIALD) will now be updated. The program will recalculate the new Last PM Meter Reading / Date, Last Service Call / Date. This is new in Revision 14. Prior to Revision 14, the program would only subtract 1 from the number of service calls and recalculate the Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), and Mean Copies Between Failure (MCBF) using the original dates and meter readings in the Serial File. With these dates and meters being corrected now, the MTBF and MCBF will be correct. The Average Monthly Volume (AMV) will also be recalculated.
Rev 13 Changes
A change was made to this program to add the Call Taker Initials prompt, initials of the person completing the call, and the initials of the person entering the ticket. Dispatcher initials were already on this screen.
Also, this program will now add to and delete from a new completed call index (CCALL.IX).
Program logic was added to delete the call from the Walkabout File (WACALL.DT) if the Walkabout Interface field in Service Call Control File Maintenance is set to Y for yes.
