This program can be found on the Order
Entry File Maintenance menu (OE-3-5). The main functions of this program
is to add any existing coupon books that have been invoiced to a customer
prior to using the Coupon system and have not been fully redeemed. This
program is also used to change or delete existing coupon books that are
in the Coupon system. It is recommended that any existing conversion coupon
books be entered into the system before the Coupon programs are used to
bill new ones or redeem coupons. Load the existing coupon books at the
end of the month, then run the Coupon
Liability/Income Report to verify the input. When a coupon book invoice
is created, various files are updated in Order
Entry Data Entry. Click on the book to learn more about the Coupon system.

Internal changes were made to the program to accommodate the new position of the Number Of Coupons field in the Coupon Header File (CINVHDRD). The Number Of Coupons field on coupons with Fixed Quantity coupon types, enlarged from 4 digits to 6 digits. The operator can now enter 6 digits at the Number Of Coupons field on Fixed Quantity coupons. Variable Quantity coupons will still only allow 4 digits for the Number Of Coupons field.

Internal program changes to correct the expiration date calculation if it calculates to be in the year 2000. It displayed as / /68.
Also when adding a coupon, if a number was entered into the Number Used field, it would hold onto the left amount when attempting to add a second record. This has been changed to zero out the quantity left.
Program logic was added to the program to handle Variable Quantity coupon books. If the coupon is a Variable Quantity coupon book, the Number of Credit Coupons, Number Of Coupons Used and Number of Coupons Last Release will display with three decimal positions. Also, the coupon type (either Fixed Quantity Coupon, or Variable Quantity Coupon) will display at the top of the screen.
