Credit Alert Procedures

This procedure allows you to complete credit alert tasks in Order Entry and Service.

  1. The Service dispatcher enters a call for a customer with a blinking Credit Alert flag.

  2. The dispatcher gives the call a H-$ (hold-for-credit) status.

  3. After the call has been entered, the dispatcher e-mails the Collections person that there is a call on a hold-for-credit.

  4. The Collections person either calls the customer to address the issue or is already aware of the problem.

  5. The Collections person emails the dispatcher when the hold status of the service call can be removed.

  6. The Collections person can set the credit status of the customer in Field 12 of the Customer File (BI-3-1-1).
