Delete Model Association if Invalid Item # allows you to delete records from the Model Association file (MAT.DT) if either the Item Number or the Associated Item Number are invalid. An Item Number is considered invalid if it does not exist in the Item File. This can be run while people are on the system. Usually, when an Item is deleted through Item File Maintenance, all records in the Model Association File are also deleted. Occasionally however, a record may remain because of a stop code. This program will correct this scenario. This program should also be used by dealerships using the OEM Interface. The OEM Interface will create Model Associations for invalid items because the association linkage information may come before the information that allows new products to be created. The program should be run as needed by the Dealership. Operators can be on the system while this program is being run.
