Program Description
This program can be found on the Contracts Data Entry menu (CN-1-3). This procedure allows you to temporarily place a machine at a customer site or with a sales rep, leaving the machine in inventory. This procedure is used primarily when a customer is having a machine repaired and needs a temporary machine. It is also used if a customer needs a machine for demonstration purposes.
Rev 13 Changes
The Warehouse Number (Warehouse No.) will now display on the screen. This is the warehouse number stored in the Serial file (SERIALD).
When a machine is under custody to a Customer Number, the Ship-to Name, Address Line 1, Address Line 2, City, State, Zip Code and Phone Number will display on the right side of the screen. These come from the Customer file (CUSTD).
When the Machine Tracking feature in Contract Control File Maintenance is activated, it will add to a new index associated with the Service History file (DISP.DT) called CCALL.IX.
Rev 12 Documentation
Machine Custody is found on the Contract Data Entry menu, 1-3 and the Service Data Entry menu, 1-8. Internal changes were made to incorporate the record length changes of the Item and Serial Files.
No operation changes were made in Machine Removal.
