Program Description
The Machine List by Item # -II report can be found on the Service Reports Machine Reports menu, SD-4-2-2. The purpose of the report is to list records found in the Serial File. The report only includes placed and custody records. The report allows input of a range, specific or all item numbers. Information included on the report includes item, serial number, customer number, name and address, and the primary and secondary technician numbers. Custody records include the customer or sales rep number and name. R prints if the serial number is on a Rental contract. M prints if the serial number is on a Maintenance contract. L prints if the serial number is on a Lease contract. T prints if the serial number is under custody. N prints if the machine is placed but not on a contract or custody. All of this information is from the Serial File, with the exception of the customer name and address from the Customer File and the machine description which is from the Item File. After listing all of the Serial Files, a total and percentage of records on contract, placed but no contract, and custody is included.
Rev 14 Changes
In addition to being able to run the report for a range of item numbers, the operator is now given the opportunity to run the report for a range of product classes, branch numbers and company numbers. All of these fields are stored in the Serial File (SERIALD).
Example:

A note has been added to the heading of the report to show what the indicator means next to the customer number. The report prints “NOTE: INDICATOR NEXT TO CUSTOMER NUMBER IS R FOR RENTAL, M FOR MAINT., L FOR LEASE, T FOR CUSTODY, OR N FOR NON-CONTRACT MACHINES”.
