Program Description
This program can be found on the General Ledger Reports menu (GL-4-13). This report prints out opening balances from the Chart of Accounts data file (CHART). It will put debit accounts in one column and credit accounts in another column and print a total of both.
The following fields are described below:
Beginning Account Number, A'll, Or E'nd
Enter a specific account number or enter the beginning range of account numbers. Enter A for all account numbers.
Ending Account Number
Enter the ending range of account numbers or press enter to accept the default account number from the previous field. This can be overridden if desired.
Print Accounts With Opening Balances Equal To Zero (Y/N)
Enter Y for yes to print accounts with zero balances on the report. Enter N for no to not have these accounts print out.
Press 'ESC' To Interrupt And Return To Menu
Notes: / = Cancel ^ = Go Back 1 Space
Enter a forward slash (/) cancel out of the program and return to the previous menu. Press the ESC key to cancel out or interrupt printing and return to the previous menu. Also, enter Shift-6 (^) at any field to return to the previous prompt.
Results
When running the report, the message Printing . . . Account # 12345678 is displayed . The report then finishes and prints to the printer.
