Program Description
This report is located on the Inventory Reports Stocking And Analysis Reports menu (INV-4-2-14). The report provides a worksheet to aid in a physical inventory count for items in warehouse #2 through 9999. No updating of files occurs by running this program. Blank lines are printed to provide an area to record the actual on hand amount. Any actual adjustments can be made in On Hand Adjustments (INV-1-3) or Physical Posting (INV-1-8) found on the Inventory Data Entry menu.
The report can be run to include or not include the current on hand amount and last cost of the items. Specific, ranges, or all product classes and warehouses can be selected. Parts only, everything but parts, and all items can be selected. The report form feeds to a new page between warehouses. The items may be sorted by bin number, item number, or product class. The bin location sort is very useful as all items assigned to the same physical location are printed together.
Serial numbered items include all of the serial numbers that are assigned to each warehouse. The exception to this would be machines that are in a warehouse on Rental Contracts through the Contracts module. They are not included since they cannot be counted. Custody machines are included even if they are on custody at a customer site. Rental machines and custody machines are often transferred to their own warehouse. These warehouses are not actual physical warehouses but are designed to isolate specific categories of inventory. All stock items are printed. A non-stock or dead stock item only prints if the current quantity on hand is greater than or less than zero. A non-stock or dead stock item does not print if the current on hand quantity is zero. There are no differences for serial numbered items concerning the non-stock issue. The actual number of serial numbers found in the warehouse is not considered.
Rev 14 Changes
The Bin Location field is now an alphanumeric field and not a numeric field. This means that when a report is run for a range of bins from 1234 to 5234, bins 15, 212345, and 51433 will also print. Logic was added to this report to look at the bin location numerically instead of alphanumerically. Three prompts have been added to this report:
The prompt “Is Bin Location A’lphanumeric Field, Or N’umeric Field” was added.
A range of bin locations was added "Enter Beginning Bin or All" and "Ending Bin". If all of the bin locations at your site are numbers, numeric should be chosen. Otherwise, alphanumeric should be chosen. At the range of bin locations prompts, if numeric bins was chosen, the entry of a letter (other than A for all) will not be allowed. Also, if numeric bins is chosen and the report encounters a bin with a letter or special character in it, the item will be skipped. If you are unsure if your bin locations are truly numeric or not, choose A for alphanumeric.

Also, the Warehouse Description has been added next to the Warehouse Number on the report. The Warehouse Description is from the Warehouse File (WHD).
In Revision 13, two prompts were added to this report. They were the ability to print non-stock items with a quantity on hand and the ability to print dead-stock items with a quantity on hand. If these questions were answered Y for yes, these type of items would only print if the on hand quantity was greater than zero. There is now the ability to print these type of items if the on hand is not equal to zero. This means that if there is a negative on hand quantity, they can be included on the report. The prompts were changed from a Yes/No prompt to the following:
1 print non-stock and dead-stock items with a quantity on hand greater than zero
2 print non-stock and dead-stock items with a quantity on hand not equal to zero or
3 not print non-stock or dead-stock items.
When the report prints serial numbers that are in inventory, the program will check to see if the machine is on custody to a sales rep, to a customer, or to an order. If the machine is on custody to a sales rep, a message will display stating “CUSTODY SALES REP”, with the sales rep number and name will print to the right of the serial number. If the machine is on custody to a customer, a message will display stating “CUSTODY CUSTOMER”, with the customer number and name will print to the right of the serial number. If the machine is on custody to an order, a message will display stating “CUSTODY ORDER”, with the order number will print to the right of the serial number. See sample below:

The temporary index size was modified. Line 8235 was modified to create the index for 10000, 100 instead of 100,100.
Two questions have been added to the report that deal with the non-stock indicator in the Item File: Include Non-Stock Items With A Quantity On Hand (Y/N) and Include Dead-Stock Items With A Quantity On Hand (Y/N). An item is classified as non-stock if the non-stock indicator in the Item file is set to Y. An item is classified as dead-stock if the non-stock indicator in the Item file is set to D. If Y is entered in the Include Non-Stock Items With A Quantity On Hand (Y/N) field, non-stock items with a quantity on hand greater than 0 will print on the report. If Y is entered in the Include Dead-Stock Items With A Quantity On Hand (Y/N) field, dead-stock items with a quantity on hand greater than 0 will print on the report. Non-stock items with a quantity on hand less than 1, or dead-stock items with a quantity on hand will not print on the report.
