Program Description
This program can be found on the Service Data Entry menu (SD-1-6). It allows you to reassign machines based on specific or ranges of zip codes, service territories, or counties.
Rev 15 Changes
This program has an option to enter in specific Zip Codes or All Zip Codes to use when selecting machines to re-assign. The Zip Code prompt would ask the operator to enter a nine digit Zip Code. An option was added to be able to enter five digit Zip Codes instead. For example, entering 54601 will re-assign all machines that are placed at customer sites that are in Zip Codes 54601 through 54601-9999.
A new prompt was added after the operator chooses to re-assign by Zip Code. This prompt is “Enter 5 Digit Or 9 Digit Zip Codes”. Enter a 5 or a 9 at this prompt. Once this prompt has been entered, the program will ask the operator to enter the Zip Codes. If you are planning on running this program for all Zip Codes, it does not matter if you enter a 5 or a 9 at this prompt.
A new prompt has been added to allow the operator to skip up to three technicians that should not be changed to a new Technician Number. The new prompt is: “Exclude Up To Three Technicians From Being Re-Assigned”. The operator can enter up to three Technician Numbers and just return after entering the last Technician Number to go to the next prompt. If no Technician Numbers should be excluded, just return at the prompt to get to the next prompt. Note, if the operator enters a ^ at the “Use Technician Qualification (Y/N)” question to return to the exclude technician prompt, the operator will need to reenter all of the Technician Numbers again.

Rev 14 Changes
When run for zip code, this program allows entry of up to 100 zip codes to be converted. The program would give an Invalid Subscript stop at line 118 if the operator tried to enter over 56 zip codes. This has been corrected.
Rev 13 Changes
This program has been changed to include the option to re-assign machines by county code, which is taken from the Serial data file (SERIALD). Therefore, the name has been changed to Re-Assign Machines By Zip/Territory/County to reflect program changes.
The new prompts are as follows:
Reassign by Z’ip Code, T’erritory, C’ounty, Or E’nd
To reassign machines to the primary and secondary technicians based on the zip code of the machines, enter Z. To reassign machines to the primary and secondary technicians based on the service territory of the machines, enter T. To reassign machines to the primary and secondary technicians based on the county, enter C. Enter E to end.
When C is entered, the following prompt appears:
Enter Counties, Or A’ll
Enter the first county code at the cursor. This is the county number that is stored in the Serial data file (SERIALD). This numeric value is in field 23 County No. in Machine Placement (CN-1-1). You may enter as many counties as desired. Each county entered will have the prompt increment the input number by 1. A carriage return after the first individual entry exits the entry. (5 numeric)
Once the territories are defined, the program will continue on with the normal input. All of the features that were available with the zip code and service territory assigning are available with the county reassigning.
Use Tech. Qualification Table (Y/N)
Enter Y if the Serial data file is to be updated only if the Technician Qualification (TQUAL.DT) file has a record for this tech and these machines. If the primary and secondary technicians are in the Technician Qualification file, the Serial file records will be updated. If either the primary or secondary technicians are not in the technician qualification file, the Serial file record’s primary and/or secondary technician field(s) will be skipped.
