This new submenu in Rev 14 can be found on the System Manager master menu (LMSY-9). Programs in this menu allow you to rebuild LMS Indexes by using simple menu commands instead of getting out to the SuperDOS, Unix or NT prompts and enter in commands manually. The files are separated by package. The program will make a backup copy (except for a couple very large indexes), initialize, and then rebuild the indices. This should only be done when instructed by LMS personnel. At each site, access to this menu should be limited to certain key personnel so the rebuilds are not accidentally run when people are on the system. Each program will display a message on the screen describing what operators need to stay out of when the rebuild is being performed. LMS support will also be able to let you know which operators need to stay out of the system during the rebuild in order to rebuild indices associated with various data files in the system.
