Contract Rental Procedures

This procedure allows you to complete rental contract tasks in Contracts.

 

If the machine is not already placed at the customer site:

  1. Transfer the machine from the warehouse it is currently in to the rental warehouse.  (INV-1-6)

  2. Place the machine at the customer site.  (CN-1-1)

  3. Setup the rental contract.  (CN-1-5)

If the machine is already placed at the customer site and the machine was never in inventory:

  1. Change the warehouse number in the Serial File to the rental warehouse.  (INV-5-3 or Option B* Field 4)

  2. Do an onhand adjustment of +1 for the rental warehouse for this item.  (INV-1-3)

  3. Setup the rental contract.  (CN-1-5)

If the machine is already placed at the customer site and the machine is in the wrong warehouse:

  1. 1. Change the warehouse number in the Serial File to the rental warehouse.  (INV-5-3 or Option B* Field 4)

  2. Do an on hand adjustment of +1 for the rental warehouse for this item.  (INV-1-3)

  3. Do an on hand adjustment of -1 for the warehouse in which this machine was located.  (INV-1-3)

  4. Setup the rental contract if not already setup.  (CN-1-5)

OPTION B: An alternative way to get into the Serial File to fix the warehouse number is as follows:

  1. Log into Inventory.

  2. Get a stop.

  3. At the > prompt, enter INNMOOOA.
