Program Description
This program can be found on the Inventory Reports Stocking and Analysis Reports menu (INV-4-2-16). It allows the user to create a report that shows the average days a machine is in inventory. When processing the report, the Serial (SERIALD) data file is accessed and written to. This report only includes placed machines. These are machines that are entered in the Machine Placement program found in Contracts Data Entry (CN-1-1) and Service Data Entry (SD-1-8). The report includes item number, serial numbers, machine description, date received, date placed, and days in inventory. An exception report is created for machines with 0 for date received. This exception report includes item number and serial number.
Rev 14 Changes
This report printed machines that are placed at a customer site. An option was added to print machines that are in inventory only, that are placed only, or all machines. A prompt was added “Print Machines In I’nventory Only, P’laced Only, B’oth, Or E’nd”. If I for only machines in inventory is entered, the range of date placed questions will be skipped. When a machine is placed, the days in inventory is calculated by finding the number of days between the date received and the date placed. If the machine is still in inventory, the days in inventory is calculated by finding the number of days between the date received and the transaction date entered from the menu. The customer number field is also blank if the machine is in inventory.
