Program Description
This program is new in Rev 12 and can be found on the Service Inquiries menu (SD-2-17). This inquiry allows you to view and print the service history for a particular customer or range of customers. When specifying customers, the service history is included under the customer that the machine was assigned to at the time of the service call. Thus, when machines are moved, the entire service history of the machine cannot be viewed. Only the history assigned to the designated customers can be viewed.
A customer can be searched either by entering a customer number or by entering alpha characters. The service history can then be sorted by date, item number or customer number. Once the customer has been selected, the service history can be sorted by date, item, or customer. Next, the service history is selected by individual or ranges of item numbers, serial numbers, completion dates, call types, or problem codes. Custody calls can be included or excluded.
The same information per machine that is included in the Service History Inquiry by Item program is included in the Service History Inquiry by Customer. This includes the parts, call messages, meter reading, and description of call type codes. The parameter screen is not included.
Rev 15 Changes
On option has been added to this inquiry to access Service History by a Bill-To Customer Number. The new first question that will be asked by the program is Sort Using A Specific Bill-To Cust # Yes,No Or End. Enter N to have the program work like it did prior to Revision 15. Enter Y if you would like to display all Service Calls linked to a certain Bill-To Customer Number. If Y for Yes is entered, the program will ask the operator to enter the specific Bill-To Customer Number. The operator could also enter the first part of the Bill-To Customer Name to access Alpha search and choose the correct Bill-To Customer. Once the Bill-To Customer is entered or chosen, the remaining prompts will display like normal. See screen samples below. If access by Bill-To is chosen, the program will not ask for a range of Ship-To Customer Numbers.

After Y for yes is entered:

Once the Bill-To Customer # is entered or chosen, the remaining prompts display.

Rev 14 Changes
N/A
Rev 13 Changes
This program was modified to correct the situation in which a customer number was entered that had a record number of one. The program performed an alpha search instead of bringing up a customer. The following example is shown below when the letter S is entered in the first field:
Program changes were also made to display Machine ID (ID No.) on the screen and as well as the printout. The results will print in different places based on the sort that is chosen.
The program was also modified all for duplicate keys in the temporary index that was built.
Changes were made to add travel time and response time for each service call. Travel time is calculated by taking the time from dispatch until arrival. Response time is calculated by taking the call time from arrival time. The program will skip weekends, but will include holidays. When the call date is a different date than the arrival, the program will use a work day that consists of the open time and close time stored in Service Call Control File Maintenance.
Changes were also made to the calculation of mechanical time. It will be calculated in the same manner as travel time and response time. Mechanical time is the time from arrival until completion.
If the service call does not have the ticket entered, or it is a Machine Tracking call (with the call type CU), the travel and response time will not display. These three times will display next to each other on the same line and are in the format of HH:MM. See the sample below:
Rev 12 Documentation
Service History Inquiry by Customer is found on the Service Inquiry menu. The inquiry allows you to view and print the service history for a particular customer or a range of customers. Thus service history is now accessible by the customer instead of item and serial number only. Note, when specifying customers, the service history is included under the customer that the machine was assigned to at the time of the service call. Thus when machines are moved if you do not do all customers, you do not view the entire service history of the machine. You only view the history assigned to the designated customers.
The desired customers can be entered by customer number, or alpha name search. The service history can than be sorted by date, item number or customer number. Within the selected customers, the service history can be selected by item number, serial number, completion date and problem code. Custody calls can be included or excluded.
The same information per machine that is included in the Service History Inquiry by Item is included in the Service History Inquiry by Customer. This includes the parts, call messages, meter reading and the description of the call codes. The parameter screen is not included.
