Adding / Copying programs to your system

The following steps provide directions for adding programs to your system. Use these steps as a checklist when adding a program.

 

Notes:

  1. If the program was e-mailed to you, please copy the <program>.sf into your AMSRC directory on the LMS Server

  2. Open the LMS Software Main Menu.

  3. Select option #16 Application Manager.

  4. Select option #6 Report Writer.

  5. Select Option #2 Recompile Existing Source.

  6. At Program Name enter: <program>.

  7. When it finishes, enter E'nd to return to the Main Application Manager Menu

  8. At the Main Application Manager Menu, select option #7 MENU Writer.

  9. Select Option #1 Create/Change.

  10. At filename enter the menu name you wish to place this report on.

  11. Enter V'iew and find the next seq # available.

  12. Select I'nsert enter the seq number

  13. Enter Description of <program>.

  14. At Type enter P (for program).

  15. At level enter 100 (permissions/security level).

  16. At CALLS PROGRAM enter: <program>.pr .

  17. At the next sequence number enter a period. (period is a closing statement).

  18. Enter E'nd and press Enter (return).

  19. Enter E'nd and press Enter (return).

  20. Enter E'nd and press Enter (return).

  21. You should be at the main Application Manager menu. Select this option and run the program.
